PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING JUNE 6, 2020

THIS AND THAT.
Have a few things to share with everyone, so let's get right to it.

SOLITAIRE
Currently in the middle of Chapter 18 and approaching the 40,000 word mark.
Whether the Tokyo leg of the adventure ends here or in Chapter 19 remains to be seen however.

SHERLOCK HOLMES
Got "The Adventure of the Unimaginable" back from my friendly neighborhood beta-proofreader yesterday. Want to finish at least Chapter 18, if not the entire Tokyo section of SOLITAIRE, before I start going over Holmes in earnest.
How long that will take once I actually start remains to be seen, because I'll be working on trying to turn a first draft into a polished manuscript ready for submitting to Airship 27.

YESTERDAY
June 6 was D-Day, the turning point of World War 2 for the Allied Forces.
Winston Churchill is to have said after the fact, "Never was so much owed by so many to so few."
It was a long and decisive battle on the beaches of Normandy that eventually led to the defeat of the Nazis and their evils.
Which leads me to...

TODAY
You don't need me to remind you of recent events concerning George Floyd and others.
Bigotry, discrimination, inequality, and all the other (social) sins of the world are wrong and should not be tolerated, let alone allowed to continue.
Yet while the Allied Action was necessary in the 1940s, there are more peaceful methods of protest and standing up for your rights available.
After all, the loudest chance to express your voice and opinion is coming this November with Election Day!

So STAY SAFE, and I'll see you around the Internet.
