PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING JUNE 27, 2020

Okay. Let's go through the check list.✅

Still on SOLITAIRE.
44,000+ words in the middle of Chapter 20.
Been in Tokyo, Japan since Chapter 13 after spending the first 12 in New York City.
Should finally be leaving the Orient by the end of this chapter to go on to the next leg of this adventure novel.
Have to finish this manuscript and edit SHERLOCK HOLMES in "THE ADVENTURE OF THE UNIMAGINABLE" before I go on to a totally brand new project, whatever that will be.

Yep. That pretty much covers everything.
Okay. Take care everybody!
STAY SAFE! ðŸ˜· And I'll see you around the Internet.

PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING JUNE 20, 2020

Although I pretty much stayed home most of this past week except for grocery shopping hunting day, there were lots of other matters to attend to, so I'm afraid I didn't get much actual writing done.😞

What that means is that I'm still on Chapter 19 of the SOLITAIRE novel, but am now at 43,000+ words.
Should get out of Tokyo (figuratively, since the closest I've ever been there in real life is anime, manga, and kaiju movies) soon to continue the next leg of this globe trotting adventure.

And of course, don't forget the graphic reminder of what today is.😉

Take care, and I'll see you around the Internet.

PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING JUNE 13, 2020

Okay, let's get the writing news out of the way first.
41,000+ words and 19 chapters into SOLITAIRE now.
Whether this chapter or the next, the Tokyo leg of the adventure novel is about to conclude and then...?

You folks certainly don't need me to get on my soap box and speak about current events.
The pandemic...
...George Floyd and all the issues therein...

From one human being to another, WE NEED TO FIND PEACEFUL SOLUTIONS TOGETHER to all the problems facing us locally, nationally, and globally!

In hopes of eventually accomplishing this very long term goal, I'd like to take a moment and share something special with everyone that I first heard as a small child.

PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING JUNE 6, 2020

THIS AND THAT.
Have a few things to share with everyone, so let's get right to it.

SOLITAIRE
Currently in the middle of Chapter 18 and approaching the 40,000 word mark.
Whether the Tokyo leg of the adventure ends here or in Chapter 19 remains to be seen however.

SHERLOCK HOLMES
Got "The Adventure of the Unimaginable" back from my friendly neighborhood beta-proofreader yesterday. Want to finish at least Chapter 18, if not the entire Tokyo section of SOLITAIRE, before I start going over Holmes in earnest.
How long that will take once I actually start remains to be seen, because I'll be working on trying to turn a first draft into a polished manuscript ready for submitting to Airship 27.

YESTERDAY
June 6 was D-Day, the turning point of World War 2 for the Allied Forces.
Winston Churchill is to have said after the fact, "Never was so much owed by so many to so few."
It was a long and decisive battle on the beaches of Normandy that eventually led to the defeat of the Nazis and their evils.
Which leads me to...

TODAY
You don't need me to remind you of recent events concerning George Floyd and others.
Bigotry, discrimination, inequality, and all the other (social) sins of the world are wrong and should not be tolerated, let alone allowed to continue.
Yet while the Allied Action was necessary in the 1940s, there are more peaceful methods of protest and standing up for your rights available.
After all, the loudest chance to express your voice and opinion is coming this November with Election Day!

So STAY SAFE, and I'll see you around the Internet.
