PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING MARCH 25, 2017

A BRIEF THOUGHT AND TIDBIT ON WRITING

Hugh Monn
Work proceeding apace on what will be Book 3 in my HUGH MONN, PRIVATE DETECTIVE series.

Just got Chapter 5 back from my friendly neighborhood beta/proofreader, so I'll pause working on Chapter 6 now and go over it first.
Wish I had more to report, but other than typing away on a keyboard, writing in and of itself isn't that exciting, per se.
It's what you write about and how you feel about your writing that gets the brain and heart pumping as you sit down in front of your system and fill the monitor with words.
And in truth, I'm pretty good on both aspects.

But while I don't want to give away any spoilers in regards to my work, I can share tidbits now and then with you.
So now, without further adieu, the opening paragraph to Chapter 1 of the third Hugh Monn book!

Life had been treating me pretty well of late. My relationship with Captain Sandra Bunnae of the Beach Patrol was getting enjoyably serious. The only complication was whether or not to fully disclose my past to her and how Sandy would react once she learned the truth. I certainly wasn’t lying to anyone about my feelings toward the Leporidaen lady, but a lie of omission was still a lie.

Wish I could share more with my readers and fans, but like I said, I don't want to spoil the fun before the book comes out.
Better get back to writing now.
Take care, and I'll see you around the Internet.

PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING MARCH 18, 2017

A blizzard in March?
Who the heck ordered that?
And it wasn't even one of the tasty desert types either.
Oh well...

Despite all of the weather obstacles, I HAVE finished Chapter 5 of the current HUGH MONN, PRIVATE DETECTIVE story I'm working on, but still want to go back over it again before I send it on to my friendly neighborhood beta-proofreader for her opinions.

Well, Spring is supposed to start tomorrow.
Not sure the weather is in sync with the calendar though.
In any event, take care, and I'll see you around the Internet.

PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING MARCH 11, 2017

Despite a few ill-timed interruptions, including winter storms and one power outage, I have been writing and continue to work on the third HUGH MONN, PRIVATE DETECTIVE book.
Haven't gotten to the point yet where there is something new to send my friendly neighborhood beta/proofreader, but at least I am writing.

Take care, stay safe and warm, and see you around the Internet!

PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING MARCH 4, 2017

As far as writing goes for this past week, I am on Chapter 5 of the current HUGH MONN, PRIVATE DETECTIVE story while awaiting the opinions of my friendly neighborhood beta/proofreader on Chapter 4.

But today (March 5th) I am taking a well deserved day off!

Although they have taken a toll on my health, having made it through both congestive heart failure AND an aortic aneurysm within the last decade, I happily celebrate my 55th birthday today, glad that I have made it this far!

March 6th I will return to writing.
Today is for celebrating life!
