PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING AUGUST 29, 2020

SEVERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS TO MAKE THIS OUTING,
SO LET'S GET RIGHT TO THEM!

1. Ron Fortier at Airship 27 is looking for artists, both interior and/or cover. If interested, contact him either through the Airship 27 website or Facebook.
But any negotiations and/or deals are strictly between you and him. I'm just helping to spread the word about his search.

2. THIS is my 400th post on FILLING BLANK SPACES! 😀 And The Free Choice E-zine's next post will be #2400!

3. While it is still flexible enough to accommodate anything that might arise between now and then, I've got my creative agenda for this fall beyond SOLITAIRE planned out. More news on that as the days progress. Speaking of which...

4. Am currently on Chapter 26 and 56,000+ words on that novel. All modesty and bragging aside, I really think readers will love this book when it is eventually published.

But to reach that point, I better get back to writing now.
Take care. STAY SAFE!😷
And I'll see you around the Internet!

PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING AUGUST 22, 2020

As usual lately, between household chores, errands, and life's other various and sundered interruptions, I didn't get as much writing time this past week as I would have liked to.

Then again, I can't think of any writer who has ever been able to brag, "I had so much writing time this past week..."

Anyway, I'm 54,000+ words and 25 chapters into SOLITAIRE. Finishing the novel by 65,000 is the goal and Australia is the last major leg of the adventure, so I don't foresee any reason why this shouldn't be possible. Just have to get to it.

With that in mind, take care. STAY SAFE! ðŸ˜·And I'll see you around the Internet.

PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING AUGUST 15, 2020

I've been wearing my Editor's Hat most of this past week, laying the ground work for the previously

mentioned memorial project that will be published at about this point sometime next year.

Not sure how much more about it I can say right now, but it will definitely be discussed a lot more in 2021, especially as it gets closer to an actual release date.

Going back to regular writing this week as I resume work on SOLITAIRE.

Chapter 24 and 53,000+ words. Still in Australia. Not sure I'll have the first draft finished by Labor Day, but definitely by the end of September, barring anything unforeseen. Like another power outage.

Still need to finish revising the second (final?) draft to SHERLOCK HOLMES and "The Adventure of the Unimaginable" too, but that will probably be while my friendly neighborhood beta-proofreader is going over SOLITAIRE.

In any event, take care. STAY SAFE!😷 Still trying to figure out these new Blogger controls between here and The Free Choice E-zine, but I'll see you around the Internet.

PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING AUGUST 8, 2020

OH MAN! This past week stank big time!

Between Isaias (however you actually pronounce that name) and the local power company that was
Where I was most of this week. 😉
more interested in trying to secure their new rate hike than preparing for the approaching storm, I was without electricity from Tuesday morning until earlier today!

Didn't get any of my regular writing done, and am just now getting to this blog after taking care of a belated The Week In Review and The Sunday Funnies on The Free Choice E-zine, for The Puzzle Corner can wait until its next regularly scheduled post this coming Saturday August 15.

Hopefully this week, between catching up on laundry, dishes, and everything else I've got to do I can get back to SOLITAIRE.

In any event, while the aforementioned light company was seriously unprepared and caught off guard, other light companies responded to the emergency and pitched in to help out.
Whoever they are, I would personally like to thank MATRIX NAC for restoring power to my neck of the woods, because I never once saw anyone from the local company in the area!

So take care. STAY SAFE!
And I'll see you around the Internet.

PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING AUGUST 1, 2020

A MUCH better writing week than last time.
I'm into Chapter 24 and 52,000+ words of SOLITAIRE.
While there will still be the wrap up and Epilogue to write when I reach that point, Australia is the last major leg of this new action/thriller character's first adventure.

I'm not sure when the actual starting day for it will be at this point, but there are now a couple of upcoming projects, including a memorial anthology, where I will need to wear my Editor's Hat more than my Writing Cap for awhile.
When (if?) I can discuss those in further detail I will.

Until then, take care. STAY SAFE!😷 And I'll see you around the Internet.
