PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING MARCH 3, 2018

Well, I am over my head cold.
Weather outside is still chilly and gloomy, but at least I'm feeling better.

Spent most of this past week working on that new Companion Dragon tale for my friendly neighborhood beta-proofreader Nancy Hansen.

But I had to stop and detour to Victorian England for a while to proofread the galley for "The Adventure of the Artful Forger", which WILL be in Airship 27's Sherlock Holmes, Consulting Detective Volume 11!

The only word I have on a release date is SOON, and I'm sure you're looking forward to this and the other thrilling mysteries (by I. A. Watson, Greg Hatcher, and Peter Basile) as much as I am.

As for current and future projects...
I should have that Companion Dragon tale finished before the end of this month.
Then, after I finish HUGH MONN, PRIVATE DETECTIVE-BOOK 3: FEMME FATLAE, I will be turning my attention to both PROJECT ALPHA 3 AND a new project that just won't leave me alone.
After that there are a couple of more short story ideas I've been kicking around, including another Holmes adventure.

Wish the weather was warmer, but at least my writing is heating up again.

With that in mind, I better get back to it.

PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING JULY 29, 2017

I was literally all over the place this past week whenever I had writing time.
In the far flung future with HUGH MONN, PRIVATE DETECTIVE.
In the 1970s working on my story for Jim Beard, and at {{undisclosed locations}} working on that new idea I've previously mentioned that just won't leave me alone.

It's great to have so many projects, considering variety is supposed to be the spice of life, but at some point I know I've got to knuckle down and start completing these things, considering what I want to accomplish in the future.

Have errands Monday and Friday along with a doctor's appointment Thursday. Otherwise, writing is the big thing on my agenda for this week.

PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING MARCH 15, 2014

Sadly, not sugar free

Well, I survived Pi Day (March 14, 03.14), although I couldn't find a bakery with a sugar free chocolate meringue; and the infamous Ides of March (March 15th).

Got a lot of work done on a variety of stuff.
Did some prelim work on a couple of new projects that I want to get to this year (including some plotting on what will be the third HUGH MONN, PRIVATE DETECTIVE book), and even made progress on ALPHA, BOOK 2: WAYWARD SON.

There is even a potential new short story anthology on the horizon that at the moment is only in the initial planning stages. I hope it comes to pass, for I am excited about the concept behind the book and really want to write the story I pitched.

And of course, there are always my responsibilities as the Editor-In-Chief of The Free Choice E-zine.

As to the week ahead?
At the moment, I have absolutely no idea how much creative work will be accomplished over the next few days.
I have a cardiologist appointment on Monday, a regular doctor's appointment on Tuesday, and my annual dental exam on Wednesday.
Busy week, huh?

For those who came in late, I have SURVIVED both congestive heart failure and an aortic aneurysm!

Life has been rough at times, and my health isn't as great as the average 52 year old man's might be, but on the bright side, I am still alive and kicking!

Writing is something I have wanted to do since at least junior high school, if not earlier in life.
Being a writer not only brings me pleasure and gives me a creative outlet to express myself, but it also seems to be the only occupation anyone is willing to consider me for.
