PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING FEBRUARY 27, 2021

At this point I can certainly sympathize with anyone who suffers from seasonal disorders.
I look out my window or at the weather forecast and see nothing but rain, gray skies, rain, cold temperatures, and rain for most if not all of this forthcoming week. 😝
Did I mention rain?

Have had a few conferences with the rest of The Blue Team, a reference from last week's PROGRESS REPORT, concerning that memorial project but alas, still nothing I can officially comment on yet.

Unfortunately I've yet to complete another chapter on the SCIENCE FICTION NOVEL, but I have gotten more review work done on SOLITAIRE.
Once I either get back to the end of the Japan segment or wherever My Friendly Neighborhood Beta-Proofreader left off (whichever's second), the manuscript gets sent back to her so she can finish reviewing it. Then I'll go over it one more time before submitting it for publication consideration.
Yeah, it's a lot of work for one book, but I think this novel is really going to kick some serious @$$!πŸ˜‰

In any event, I better get back to writing now.
Take care.
STAY SAFE! 😷
And I'll see you around the Internet.

PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING FEBRUARY 20, 2021

Wound up wearing my Editor's Hat most of this past week on a memorial project for a friend who sadly is no longer with us.😒
Not sure how much more I can say about it at the moment other than the fact that the working title amongst those involved is RED AND BLUE or BLUE AND RED, depending upon your viewpoint.
Either way I'm on the Blue Team and despite the color scheme, the project has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with politics.

I've also managed to get some more writing done on my SCIENCE-FICTION NOVEL too!πŸ˜€
Unfortunately I haven't completed another chapter since the last Progress Report because Blue took up most of this past week, but at least I AM WRITING! 😎

And yes, I still have to finish going over what My Friendly Neighborhood Beta-Proofreader reviewed of SOLITAIRE so I can send it back to let her finish checking out that novel.

In any event I better get back to it now.
Take care.
STAY SAFE! 😷
And I'll see you around the Internet.

PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING FEBRUARY 13, 2021

♫SECOND VERSE, SAME AS THE FIRST.♫
From "Henry the VIII" by Herman's Hermits.

The life and times of a writer are not as glamourous or as fantastic as some people seem to think.
We go through our own daily struggles while trying to enjoy and live life one day at a time like everyone else in this world.
Last week is a perfect example.
Between housework, errands, etc; I managed to write more of the SCIENCE FICTION NOVEL (up to 15 chapters/16 counting Prologue and approaching 30,000 words) while accomplishing some more proofreading on the SOLITAIRE novel in my "spare" time.

The biggest highlight of this past week, if you can even call it that, was when the washing machine decided to go KABLOOEY during the middle of a load of laundry. 😠
That, like everything else in life, will have to be dealt with in time the best it can be.

SO WHY BE A WRITER?
The most obvious answer would be "Why not?"
But the more accurate answer would be that I want to contribute something positive to this world🌎 and the best way I personally can do that is by sharing my thoughts and words with everyone creatively.

Whether you like HUGH MONN PRIVATE DETECTIVE, ALPHA the superhero, the forthcoming SOLITAIRE, any of the short stories I've written over the years or one of my future endeavors beyond the current SCI-FI PROJECT; as long as you liked my humble efforts and have been entertained in the
process—and maybe thought about things you hadn't previously considered before—then I've done my "job" as an author.

With that in mind, I better get back to "work" now, but before I forget:
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!πŸ’•

Take care.
STAY SAFE!😷
And I'll see you around the Internet.

PROGRESS REPORT: WEEK ENDING FEBRUARY 6, 2021

A THIS AND THAT WEEK.

Okay. On Chapter 12 (13 counting the Prologue) of the SCI-FI NOVEL and have past the 20,000 word mark.
Not much else to report on the writing front.

It's snowing here as I post this.
Weather service is calling for 4-8 inches before it's all done. More is expected off and on for the rest of this coming week with no day above freezing before Valentine's Day at the earliest. 😝
Snow is beautiful to look at when it's falling and maybe fun to play in for awhile, but everything after that like trying to shovel the stuff and drive are a chore.

And as a favor to Airship 27 Captain Ron Fortier, that illustrious publishing company is still looking for Interior and Cover Artists.
If interested, contact Ron either through the company website or via his Facebook page.

Still snowing, but I'm safe and warm.
Hope you are too.
Better get back to writing now.
Take care.
STAY SAFE! 😷
And I'll see you around the Internet.
